Many individuals who wish to practise Architecture are, for a variety of reasons, unable to attend University on a full time basis to obtain the necessary education. The RAIC Syllabus offers an accessible alternative through a directed, self-paced program of academic studies, design studios, and practical experience leading to the RAIC Professional Diploma in Architecture - accepted in Canada as equivalent to a Professional University Degree in Architecture. Graduates of the Syllabus are entitled to use the designation "Dipl.Arch." indicating they have completed all requirements of the RAIC Syllabus Diploma Program.
